Juan of Austria

Juan of Austria (1545-1578), son of the emperor Carlos V and of Barbara de Blomberg. The king Philip II, his brother of father, nominated him a general captain of the Mediterranean and of the Adriatic Sea in 1568. It he was at the head of the " Holy League ", with which he reached honors in Lepanto. With the Deputy's title of the King it was sent to Italy, and in Flanders he was governing and a general captain.

His sword belongs to the so called "genets" of arriaces fallen, used by the benimerines during the Arabic domination in Spain, and adopted later as the Christians due to his lightness and facility of use. he could have be gained by don Juan the Turks in Lepanto.
