Alba's duchy has origin toledano in the first gentleman of Alba don Gutierre Álvarez of Toledo in 1430, being the first duke don Hernando Álvarez of Toledo in 1472, coming up to Maria del Pilar Teresa Cayetana of Forest and Álvarez of Toledo, thirteenth duchess of Alba, supposed model of Goya. This duchy the eighteenth duchess of Alba shows it nowadays.
